Maryland IT Contract Litigation
The State of Maryland reached a settlement with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) over a contract with the Maryland Department of Health to develop and implement a new computer system for the state Medicaid program. CSC agreed to pay the state $81 million. The state terminated the contract in 2015 after having paid CSC approximately $27 million. The state alleged CSC refused to perform contractually required work necessary to meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act.
