Oncology Drug Overfill False Claims

The federal government and dozens of U.S. states and cities sued McKesson for allegedly manufacturing and distributing injectable cancer drugs in a way that had not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The lawsuit alleges McKesson repackaged or compounded in non-sterile conditions the “overfill” from single-use vials of Aloxi, Procrit, and other oncology drugs from 2001 to at least 2010, exposing cancer patients to a serious risk of infection and defrauding federal, state and local governments of hundreds of millions of dollars.
