Alleged False Claims in Connection With a Hanford Site Subcontract
Richard Olsen agreed to pay $124,440 to resolve claims that he violated the False Claims Act by submitting inflated prices in connection with a subcontract at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation between Mission Support Alliance (MSA) and Lockheed Martin. Olsen was an employee of Lockheed Martin working for MSA. (Lockheed was then one of the co-owners of MSA, a joint venture.) The government alleged Olsen accepted more than $41,000 in kickbacks from Lockheed in exchange for submitting false statements to the Department of Energy regarding Lockheed’s labor rates and anticipated profits on the subcontract.
