North Carolina Election Law Violations

Pfizer Inc. PAC, a Pfizer employee political action committee, paid the North Carolina State Board of Elections and Ethics Enforcement $40,000 to resolve dozens of campaign finance law violations. The PAC wrote 48 checks totaling $53,500 to candidates in 2016 and 2017 during the legislative session while Pfizer was engaged in lobbying, which is prohibited by the North Carolina Elections and Ethics Enforcement Act.
