U.S. v. Gilbert (Theft of Government Property)
Michael Dale Gilbert, who assisted the State Department in Afghanistan as a contract employee of PAE, was convicted of the theft and unauthorized sale of U.S. government property worth approximately $48,900. In 2014, while stationed at Kandahar Airfield, Gilbert stole and shipped to the U.S. approximately 64 boxes containing such items as computers, construction equipment, and tools. Gilbert later sold some of the items for personal gain.
