Atkinson v. AECOM et al. (Sex Discrimination and Harassment)

Jennifer Atkinson alleges her rights under the American with Disabilities Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Fair Labor Standards Act were violated by AECOM, Pacific Architects and Engineers (PAE), and the U.S. Navy during her employment at the Marine Corps Logistics Base, Yermo Annex, in Barstow, California. (Atkinson worked as a supply technician for AECOM. PAE took over AECOM’s work at the base in May 2018 while Atkinson was on medical disability leave.) Atkinson claims she was denied adequate accommodation to breastfeed her baby and had to endure sexual harassment from male co-workers and supervisors. She claims she lost her job at the base due to her request for a lactation space, her filing reports of harassment, and her taking medical leave.
