Contracting Suspension – Anham FZCO and Anham USA

In December 2018, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) temporarily suspended Anham FZCO and Anham USA, Inc. from government contracting “based upon adequate evidence of conduct indicating a lack of business honesty or integrity, or a lack of business integrity, or regulation, statute, executive order or other legal authority, pending completion of an investigation and/or legal proceedings.” The suspension was imposed approximately one month after Abul Huda Farouki, chairman and CEO of Anham LLC, was charged with defrauding the U.S. government on contracts to provide food and supplies to U.S. troops in Afghanistan, engaging in illegal commerce in Iran, and money laundering. (The DLA also suspended Farouki.)
