Linden, NJ Clean Air Act Violations

Infineum USA, a joint venture between Exxon Mobil and Royal Dutch Shell, paid the federal government a $187,500 civil penalty to settle alleged violations of the Clean Air Act with respect to emissions of volatile organic compounds and hazardous air pollutants at its chemical plant in Linden, New Jersey. Infineum also agreed to undertake compliance measures at the facility that it estimates will cost up to $4 million.
