Earl et al. v. Boeing (Conspiracy to Conceal 737 Max 8 Defects)

A lawsuit alleges that Boeing and Southwest Airlines conspired to cover up “a fatal design defect” in the 737 Max 8 aircraft from customers, pilots, and regulators. The lawsuit, filed by several Southwest customers who traveled on 737 Max 8 planes between August 2017 and March 2019, alleges Southwest worked with Boeing to cover up a faulty computerized flight control system (the Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS)) and falsely attest to the plane’s safety.
