Inflation of Drug Prices in Colombia
Colombia’s Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) fined Pfizer’s local subsidiary for allegedly inflating prices of drugs. The SIC fined Pfizer 83 million pesos (approx. US$24,000) for allegedly inflating the price of seven drugs—including medications for depression, incontinence, epilepsy, and eye care—by as much as 651% between July and December 2016.
