Hubbell v. FedEx SmartPost (Sex Discrimination, Retaliation)

Sheryl Hubbell, who worked for FedEx SmartPost as a parcel sorter in Michigan, alleged her supervisors disciplined, demoted, and eventually fired her based on her gender, and retaliated against her for filing legal complaints. A jury found in favor of Hubbell on her retaliation claim and awarded her $519,550 in damages. The court reduced the damages to $415,600 and awarded Hubbell $157,734 in attorney’s fees.
