Hall v. Bechtel National (Hanford Site Whistleblower Retaliation)

Curtis W. Hall II alleged that Bechtel National fired him from his job at the Hanford Nuclear Site in 2017 for raising safety and environmental concerns, in violation of the False Claims Act. Hall, a control systems engineer, claimed he was fired for repeatedly raising concerns that the plant, when completed, would not operate safely. In August 2019, Hall and Bechtel National reached a confidential settlement. Hall lost his job at the site in 2005, allegedly in retaliation for raising safety concerns, but in 2008 the Department of Energy Office of Hearings and Appeals ordered his reinstatement.
