Southwest Airlines Pilots Assoc. v. Boeing (Lost Income Due to 737 Max Grounding)

The Southwest Airlines Pilots Association sued Boeing for millions in lost income connected with the grounding of the 737 Max aircraft in March 2019. The lawsuit, filed on behalf of almost 10,000 pilots, claims Boeing of rushed the redesigned 737 Max to market and that Boeing “abandoned sound design and engineering practices, withheld safety critical information from regulators and deliberately mislead its customers, pilots and the public about the true scope of design changes” to the aircraft.
