Opioid Epidemic Settlement With Cuyahoga and Summit Counties, Ohio

McKesson, AmerisourceBergen, and Cardinal Health reached a settlement with Cuyahoga and Summit Counties in Ohio, who alleged the pharmaceutical industry flooded their communities with prescription pain pills and failed to adequately warn the public of the risks of addiction. The three companies admitted no wrongdoing and agreed to pay the counties a combined total of $215 million.
