Cabrera et al. v. Black & Veatch Special Products et al. (Protection Payments to the Taliban)

A lawsuit seeks damages under the Anti-Terrorism Act on behalf of hundreds of American service members and civilians who were killed or wounded while serving in Afghanistan between 2009 and 2017. The lawsuit claims the plaintiffs were attacked by a Taliban-led terrorist insurgency that a number of international companies—including G4S, Environmental Chemical Corporation, and the Louis Berger Group—helped fund through millions of dollars in “protection payments” they made to the Taliban.
