Timaero Ireland Ltd. v. Boeing (737 Max Contract Fraud)

Timaero Ireland Limited, which purchased 22 Model 737 Max airplanes, claims that Boeing misrepresented that the aircraft would be airworthy, safe, free from design defects, and in compliance with aviation regulations. The 737 Max was grounded in March 2019 after two fatal crashes, which Timaero claims were caused by a flaw in the flight-control sensors. Timaero seeks $185 million in damages on the grounds of fraudulent inducement, breach of contract, breach of the duty of good faith and fair dealing, and tortious interference with business expectancy.
