I.A.T.S.C. No. One Pension Fund v. General Electric (Shareholder Lawsuit)

General Electric paid $5 million to settle a lawsuit filed by the International Association of Theatrical Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.C.) Local 1 pension fund alleging GE misled stockholders about a $5 billion capital reorganization in 2015. The plaintiffs alleged GE’s reorganization prospectus provided confusing and incomplete information, resulting in shareholders receiving new shares at lower values and trading prices.
