U.S. v. CB&I Areva MOX Services LLC et al. (False Claims at Savannah River Site)

The United States filed suit against CB&I AREVA MOX Services LLC (formerly Shaw Areva MOX Services) and Wise Services under the False Claims Act and the Anti-Kickback Act in connection with a contract to design and operate the MOX Fuel Fabrication Facility at the Savannah River Site in South Carolina. The government alleges MOX Services and Wise, its subcontractor, claimed $6.4 million in reimbursements for nonexistent construction materials from 2008 to 2016. The government also alleges Wise Services’ senior site representative paid kickbacks to MOX Services officials to improperly obtain favorable treatment.
