Jones v. FedEx (Racial Discrimination)

Climmons Jones Jr., who is African-American, was a security officer at a FedEx shipping center, where he was responsible for watching an X-ray monitor to stop weapons in packages from being loaded onto FedEx planes. In August 2017, a weapon slipped past his watch and he was fired 12 days later. Jones claims the consequences for failing to detect a weapon were harsher for him and other African-American workers than for white workers.
