Kriley et al. v. XTO Energy (Breach of Oil and Gas Leases)

A group of Pennsylvania property owners accuse ExxonMobil subsidiary XTO of breaching oil and gas leases. The plaintiffs claim XTO used a subsidiary to provide certain post-production services for which it charged inflated, above-market prices, and that XTO deducted these excessive costs when it calculated royalties paid to the plaintiffs. The plaintiffs also claim XTO failed to pay royalties due on production that occurred during 2019.
