Faulty Ignition Switches – Vehicle Owners Multidistrict Litigation

General Motors reached a $120 million settlement, plus up to $34.5 million in attorneys’ fees, with GM vehicle owners who claimed their cars lost value due to recalls related to defective ignition switches. The lawsuit claimed that many GM cars were equipped with ignition switches that caused keys to slip out of position and disable brakes and air bags.
