Hawkins v. AT&T (Employment Discrimination and Retaliation)
Beverly Hawkins worked for AT&T (formerly Southwestern Bell) as a sales/customer service representative and, after injuring her shoulder, took a leave of absence under the Family Medical Leave Act. Hawkins claims that she was treated differently and subjected to harassment and hostile treatment by her managers after returning from leave. She claims that AT&T later fired her in retaliation for taking medical leave, for her ongoing absences for physical therapy, and because of her age and disability.
