Deatrick v. Securitas Security Services USA (Unpaid Overtime)

Securitas Security Services USA (an affiliate of Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services) paid $2.5 million to settle a lawsuit filed by former and current security guards who alleged the company violated the Fair Labor Standards Act and California labor law. The lawsuit alleged that Securitas failed to take into account the payment guards received in connection with the company’s vacation pay plan when calculating overtime payments, and that the guards were not paid the full overtime compensation they were owed.
