Unpaid Training
Securitas Security Services USA (an affiliate of Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services) paid $1.2 million to settle lawsuits filed by security guards who claimed the company failed to pay them for training, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and Illinois labor law. The lawsuit alleged the company was required to pay the guards for time spent in new hire orientation.
