Walburn et al. v. Centrus Energy Corp. et al. (Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant Pollution)

Former employees of the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant and area residents accuse several companies—including Lockheed Martin, Bechtel Jacobs, and Fluor-BWXT Portsmouth LLC—of a “pattern of corruption and flagrant disregard for human life” in their operation, decommissioning, decontamination, and demolition of the plant. The lawsuit alleges the defendants exposed workers and residents to dangerous pollutants, resulting in bodily injuries, sickness, disease, death, loss of and damages to property, and reduction in property values.
