The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) found that IBM displayed “a discriminatory animus based on age” in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act when it laid off thousands of older workers in the United States between 2013 and 2018.
