Bribery to Win International Government Contracts

KBR pleaded guilty to violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) between 1995 and 2004 by paying millions of dollars in bribes to officials in Nigeria in exchange for engineering and construction contracts on a natural gas liquefaction plant. KBR agreed to pay $20 million and retain a corporate monitor for a period of three years.
