Gender Pay Disparities in Several States
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) entered into conciliation agreements with Hewlett-Packard and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to resolve allegations of systemic pay discrimination against 391 female employees in several states. OFCCP found disparities in compensation between male and female employees working in similar positions at Hewlett-Packard locations in Boise, Idaho, and San Diego, California, and at Hewlett Packard Enterprise sites in Fort Collins, Colorado, and Houston, Texas. Without admitting any liability, the companies paid a total of $1,450,000 in back pay and interest to settle the allegations.
