Barnes et al. v. Dresser LLC et al. (Contaminated Groundwater in Louisiana)

A proposed class-action lawsuit claims that Halliburton failed to notify residents of Pineville, Louisiana, that a toxic plume from one of its industrial sites contaminated possibly thousands of properties after an accident in 2011. The lawsuit accuses Halliburton and Dresser LLC, which merged with Halliburton in 1998, of negligently failing to warn property owners and failing to properly store the chemicals and remediate the contamination.
