Roberts et al. v. AT&T Mobility (Unlimited Data Plan “Throttling”)

A proposed class of consumers in California reached a $12 million settlement with AT&T over allegations that AT&T misrepresented its unlimited cellphone data plans. The lawsuit claimed that AT&T advertised wireless data plans as providing “unlimited” data, but applied undisclosed or inadequately disclosed limitations, after which customers’ data usage was subject to throttling.
