Janik v. Boeing et al. (Ethiopian Airlines 737 Max Crash)

The family of the captain of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 sued Boeing and Rockwell Collins over the March 2019 737 Max crash in Ethiopia. The lawsuit alleges that the crash was caused by modifications the companies made to the aircraft, which they placed on the market without warning the public about the danger. In November 2021, Boeing accepted liability for the crash, clearing the way for the award of compensatory damages in negligence and wrongful death lawsuits filed in Illinois federal court.
