Postal Service Delivery Contract False Claims
United Airlines paid $49.4 million to resolve criminal and civil charges of defrauding the U.S. Postal Service on contracts to transport international mail. United admitted that former employees provided falsified parcel delivery information between 2012 and 2015 and accepted millions of dollars in payments to which the company was not entitled. United entered into a non-prosecution agreement and paid $17.3 million in connection with a criminal investigation and paid $32.2 million to settle civil False Claims Act allegations.
