Health Net Federal Services paid $97.2 million to resolve alleged duplicate and inflated claims it submitted to the Department of Veterans Affairs under the Patient-Centered Community Care program. The government alleged that Health Net submitted duplicate billings to the VA, resulting in over $92 million in overpayments to Health Net between June 2014 and April 2019, and failed to pass through negotiated discounts on payments made to private health care providers, resulting in over $1 million in overpayments between March 2015 and March 2017.
