Violations of the Export Administration Regulations (2005)

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) cited Philips Electronics North America with two export regulation violations: 1) On March 24, 2005, Philips exported an ultrasound medical device from the U.S. through the Netherlands to Cuba without the required license; 2) On October 25, 2005, Philips exported a cardiology workstation medical device from the U.S. through the Netherlands to Cuba without the required license. BIS fined Philips $9,000.
