Falsifying Test Data and Destroying Documents – Mineral Wells, Texas
Philips Electronics North America pleaded guilty to charges of falsifying testing data about military equipment produced for the Department of Defense and NASA. The company agreed to deposit $9 million toward settlement damages involving its plant in Mineral Wells, Texas, which developed electronic resistors for navigation and weapons systems such as the F-16 and the Patriot missile, and place an additional $5 million in an escrow account toward nongovernmental claims.
