New York Opioid Litigation Settlement
Johnson & Johnson paid $230 million to New York state to settle claims involving the company’s role in helping to fuel the national opioid epidemic. J&J also agreed to end the manufacture, sale, and promotion of all opioid products in New York, as well as to no longer ship these products anywhere within the United States and to make additional information about opioids more accessible to the public.
