Model Year 2010 Diesel Engine Clean Air Act Settlement

Navistar paid a $52 million civil penalty to settle alleged violations of the Clean Air Act by introducing into commerce 7,749 heavy-duty diesel engines for use in trucks and buses in model year 2010 without a valid EPA-issued certificate of conformity, resulting in excess emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx).
