Pinon et al. v. Daimler AG et al. (Defective Paint on Vehicles)

Mercedes-Benz USA LLC and Daimler AG agreed to reimburse consumers who claimed their cars had defective paint and to extend the vehicles’ warranties. The companies also paid $4.8 million in attorneys’ fees. The consumers alleged their Mercedes vehicles were painted with “590 Mars Red” paint, which had a latent defect that made it prone to peeling, flaking, bubbling, fading, discoloration, and poor adhesion.
