New Hampshire Opioid Settlement

Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen subsidiary reached a $40.5 million settlement with the state of New Hampshire to settle claims regarding the company’s marketing of opioids in the state. The state claimed Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals disseminated misleading statements about their opioids and targeted particularly vulnerable populations, such as the elderly.
