Starpower Communications, LLC v. Verizon South, Inc. (Violation of Interconnection Agreement)
On November 5, 2003, the Federal Communications Commission awarded Starpower Communications, LLC $12 million in restitution for Verizon’s violation of a previously existing interconnection agreement that required Verizon South to pay reciprocal compensation for Starpower’s delivery of traffic originated by Verizon South’s customers and bound for Starpower’s Internet service provider (“ISP”) customers.
