Roby v. Boeing (Defective Chinook Helicopters)
Boeing agreed to pay the United States up to $54 million to settle two lawsuits that allege the Seattle-based manufacturer placed defective gears in CH-47D Chinook helicopters and then sold the aircraft to the United States Army, a violation of the False Claims Act, 31 U.S.C. §§ 3729-3733 .
