Texas Air Quality Violations

On August 23, 2006, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality approved a $700,000 penalty against Valero Refining-Texas L.P. for air violations. The order resulted from 16 violations found during investigations in March and April of 2006. The violations included exceeding emissions limits, failure to properly report emission events, and failure to prevent nuisance conditions.
