Violation of Minerals Management Service Regulation

Exxon Mobil was assessed a $25,000 penalty by the Offshore Minerals Management on June 8, 2006 because "the Pressure Safety Low (PSL) for Well G-24 , had the incorrect spring and piston installed; the spring tension was backed off to a point where it would not function. This violation occurred for 11 days.”
