Pitt v. FD Services, Inc. (Overcharging the Government)

Two whistleblowers alleged FD Services, a subsidiary of Fluor, overcharged the federal government for cleanup work at military bases in South Carolina as a result of Hurricane Hugo in September 1989. In May 1994, a jury found in favor of the plaintiffs on some of their False Claims Act allegations and awarded damages in excess of $2 million.
