Nuclear Safety Violations

The U.S. Department of Energy fined CH2M-WG Idaho (CWI) $55,000 for violations of the Department’s nuclear safety requirements under the Price-Anderson Amendments Act of 1988. The Preliminary Notice of Violation (PNOV) cites radiation safety and quality improvement deficiencies identified during a May 2006 DOE assessment of radioactive waste processing activities at the Accelerated Retrieval Project at the Idaho National Laboratory.
