Improper Reporting of Test Results
Photronics, Inc., a subsidiary of DRS Technologies, Inc., entered into a global settlement with the government, resolving all potential allegations stemming from a four-year investigation of False Claims Act charges involving a former Photronics employee. Under the terms of the settlement, Phototronics agreed to pay $2.5 million in restitution in exchange for the dismissal of all litigation or challenges, and pleaded guilty to a violation of the False Claims Act. The government allegations concerned improper reporting of test results for boresighting equipment manufactured for the U.S. Army. No claim was made against DRS Technologies, which cooperated in the investigation.
