Paxil Multistate Litigation – NY Attorney General Settlement

The New York State Attorney General and GlaxoSmithKline reached a $14 million multi-state settlement resolving claims involving GSK’s anti-depression drug Paxil. GSK was accused of fraudulently delaying generic competition for Paxil by filing frivolous patent infringement lawsuits. The settlement resolved claims by 49 states that charged their Medicaid programs had been gouged.
