Clean Air Act Violations (Bridgeport, CT)
Shell Oil Co. subsidiary Motiva Enterprises LLC agreed to pay a $75,000 fine and replace two storage tanks to settle charges that it violated the Clean Air Act. The Environmental Protection Agency alleged the storage tanks at a gasoline terminal in Bridgeport, Conn. were improperly maintained and leaked gasoline vapors, which contribute to ground-level ozone and smog.
